Area where main large count of Monarch caterpillars had been, had only one caterpillar today. This morning, approximately 40 Canada geese were grazing in the area, and it is believed that the birds ate the majority. The other three caterpillars were in an area that contained (in addition to Swamp Milkweed) some still standing high grasses.
