Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/12/2017

Number: 2

We have spent the past 2 days working in the vegetable garden. Both days we have seen 2 Monarchs. This vibrant female stopped to nectar on a plant I was thought is called, "teezle." Many butterflies and bees like it. After fueling up she rested on some uncut grass nearby that has gone to seed in the area around the perimeter of our yard which I leave to mother nature. We later watched as she flew northward. We had hoped to witness her lay some eggs on our Milkweed but no luck. Sorry for the poor quality photo but my camera phone was apparently dirty.
