Today at 1:15 PM, I observed the first monarch larva for the season. It was a 2nd stage larva on a Common Milkweed plant. Weather cloudy, temperature 68F., and the wind W-10. Last year, I could find no monarch caterpillars at all on over 1,000 milkweed plants.
