This was the first one I saw this year, although I may have missed others. We have a big garden with butterfly bush, coneflowers, day-lillies & milkweed. The milkweed flowers have been spent but the adult monarch was flitting & landing on several coneflowers and the now blooming butterfly bushes. I was thrilled...but worried because I had not seen any prior to this.
