I check the milkweed every morning. The "cat" was not on the Butterfly Milkweed. I don't know the name of the milkweed it was on. I had been checking for pods and when I went for a closer look I saw this cat, 3/4" long, under a leaf. It is now in our cage. This afternoon I'll check the milkweed again.
The photo shows the species of milkweed plant, not the cat I found this morning.
