Three monarchs here at once today! There were 2 females and both laid eggs on our syriaca.
The other, a male, was patrolling for about an hour at a time. I am sure it was him visiting 3 different times today as he seemed to know the layout of our yard very well. Could be the same male we have seen quite a bit of recently. He always circles every flower bush and lands once in awhile on syriaca and tuberosa plants, and also butterfly bushes to drink.
