Today I just decided to check the milkweed that grows off my back porch to see if I might find another caterpillar there like I did last year. There are a total of 6 plants and as I inspected them I found 4 caterpillars in their 4th instar stage on 2 of the plants so I brought them in to be raised in my butterfly habitat.
