My husband was riding back roads on his motorcycle, and went through an area of halfmile to whole mile of patches of these plants, which I think are milkweed. There was a wonderful smell, so he took this photo for me. He said there were "hundreds" of different butterflies, including monarchs. He described the ditch between railroad and road as wet.
