I talked to my brother in my home town of Fargo North Dakota on the west side of the city south of the Main Shopping Mall on the edge of the Microsoft Campus. He just reported a massive cloud of monarchs which can only be an early migratory group from the north coming out of Canada. It is at least 2 weeks early, but there is no other rational explanation for such a huge group of thousands. I thought I would report it since 40 years ago west of Fargo I saw 22 million monarchs that covered an alfalfa field making it orange, it was in the first week of August.
