I found 2 1st instar caterpillars on a small Common Milkweed plant growing on my path in the field as I took a walk down there this evening. The egg in the lower part of the picture is about to hatch but not quite.There is 1 caterpillar near the upper part of the picture and one caterpillar on another separate leaf.
