I've been seeing Monarchs in the garden almost non-stop since early June. I guess I should have reported every sighting, but it seems to be one or two at a time. I'm also captive-raising, so some of these might be ones I raised and released. I took a video of one laying eggs yesterday, and this is a screen grab from the video. The weather all summer has been warm and humid, with too much rain and heavy storms. But in between, the Monarchs have been very active--more numerous than any other butterfly in my garden, which is unusual in recent years.
