All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 07/25/2017

Number: 1

After an abundant number of spring honey bees, bumblebees large and small, wasps and hornets due to a cold and rainy end of May and June virtually a collapse of the the 'bee' population. Very few 'bees' of any kind were observed or pollination vegetables and flowers.
After the return of warmer and sunny weather this week many honey bees have been seen pollinating many white clover of which there is an abundance. Few bees on purple or red clover or other flowers: astillbe, phlox, honeysuckle, bee balm, etc.
(It appears by the number of honey bees there must be a colony/hive close by.)
