Beautiful Liatris spicata was blooming in the Prairie wildflower trail at Jerry Smith Park outside Kansas City, Missouri. We saw many beautiful butterflies including the most Monarchs I have seen this year. Although I saw 11 Monarchs, only one stopped for a photo session. She was such a beauty and seemed hungry for some nectar!
