2 Tropical Milkweed plants are now starting to have tiny buds emerge at the top. They are around 20" tall, planted at less than 1/2 that height in May 2017. Will cut back in October, taking cuttings to propagate more. This flowerbed is my propagation bed for plants for the rest of the yard. Planning a waystation for the near future. I also have Turks cap planted. Working on locating nectar plants as well for future. No eggs, larvae etc have been sighted yet. No Monarchs either. Going to prepare sugar water nectar and put it near milkweed to see if it attracts any females to lay eggs. If I get any eggs I will move them and attempt to help them grow to eclose and release.
