A small female was landing on my somewhat degraded swamp milkweed blossoms. She didn't lay eggs but wanted only to get at the blossoms. She was a little jittery around the honeybees and one, in fact, did retaliate causing her to retreat to another blossom. Even though my zinnias were in bloom and right next to her, she didn't want them.
