Today,my husband and I visited 3 local ( all within a 4 mile stretch of road )fields with large patches of common milkweed. We saw 11 adult Monarchs in total.

Later, we drove along the edge of another large milkweed containing field about 20 miles from home and saw an additional 7 Monarchs flying about, for a total of 18.
