1 male, 1 female same I reported last week. Both feeding on different butterfly bushes. Male patrolling garden and yard perimeter. When he encounters female he chases her for a wile and she leaves property and male scouts for her and lands on tree leaves waiting for her to return in a few minutes. No mating observed. Female has been ovipositing every day for weeks. I think she is finding my milkweeds a bit leathery now and has taken to laying her eggs on common milkweed seed pods and a few on butterfly weed (asclepias tuberosa) which I have not observed this before here in MA.
