Observed one adult Monarch butterfly flying in a generally southerly direction. Adult Monarch observations have been quite common in the past month or so, roughly one per day. This is a huge increase in sightings from last summer when we experienced exceptionally droughty conditions during spring and summer, and Monarch abundance was very low. This summer has been wetter than normal. Great to see the Monarchs on a relatively frequent basis this summer!!
