I was on the Westside Highway where, happily, they've planted milkweed in the median. Stuck in traffic, I watched Monarchs flitting about.
Many years ago, before they stupidly sprayed deadly chemicals for West Nile, I used to see dozens and dozens of Monarchs migrating along the Hudson River and this highway.
Today gave me hope that the Monarchs are rebounding a bit.
