Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 08/08/2017

Number: 18

For about the last week, we have watched as the numbers have climbed. 18 is a conservative estimate. 60% appear to be sub-adult male Rubies. The remaining are split 50/50 female and mature male. The territorialism is extreme with some full body contact skirmishes. Protecting a single feeder is now more common than several over an area. The pix is of a sub-adult male Ruby
