Michelle, Sunnie, Joe and Steve visited Santa Fe Botanical Garden's Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve from 9 to 10:45 AM. Sunny and warm. Multiple patches of horsetail milkweed, small to medium size, in full bloom. Saw +/-5 adult monarchs (1 fem and multiple males confirmed). Monarchs basked, nectared at teasel and milkweed; males patrolled and defended milkweed patches. Sunflowers and rabbitbrush in bud, ready to bloom in a few weeks.
