While at the rail road track near the entrance to Harrisville State Park, I observed a faded female monarch caught in a single strand of spider web on top of a milkweed plant. I carefully removed her and cleaned off the web and I let her go. She was in a very powerful flight straight up into the sky and headed south down the rail road track. I also discovered a 4 instar caterpillar on the same plant and it will be used on my monarch presentation. Weather was sunny with the temperature 80F., and the wind SW-8 mph at 12:15 PM.
