- I saw a monarch on my vacation to Kingston, Ontario. This is the first monarch I saw this year.
- I noticed that quite a large number of gardens in the fruit belt area of Kingston are cultivating milkweed in their gardens. It is great to see that Kingstonians are contributing to the conservation of this amazing endangered species.
- I later saw a monarch on August 14th in Halibut Bay Nova Scotia.
