2 Monarchs today, one male and one female. Saw male chase a receptive female for about an hour before they coupled and flew off into a nearby tree. Female had been ovipositing prior to the successful pairing.
Have had daily a monarch in my butterfly garden since early July. First time in years that they have been a regular presence in the garden!
