Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/16/2017

Number: 8

Monarch Waystation #271 reports finding a scattered group of 2nd through 4th instars feeding or resting among my potted Tropical Milkweed plants in the front yard. Did not check the back yard or all possible milkweeds in the front and back, just the most obvious. They've been well hidden on previous searches. I previously reported finding only 2, and saw those were still on their plants yesterday am before the 1.5 inches of rain later that day! This group will be the parents, possibly even grandparents, of the local migrating generation. Good luck! Letting the garden raise them.
