After a warm but wet start to the day the Monarchs finally came out at about 3:30pm with the first couple rays of filtered sun. They must be hiding in the small trees in my yard because they appeared out of nowhere and headed right to the remnants of the Joe Pye Weed and also to the Zinnia. They didn't go anywhere near the milkweed so I assume these two are nectaring up for the trip to Mexico.
