A male monarch is in the garden space feeding on nectar from the tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica). He is the first male we have observed since monarchs arrived in the garden space on Monday, 8-14-17. He has some noticeable but insignificant tears along the inside edges of both hind wings. Otherwise, he is apparently quite healthy and is a robust flyer.
