The male who arrived earlier today and who I reported to Journey North a few hours ago as a reported sighting is mating with one of the females I reported on 8-14-17 as having arrived to feed in our garden. They are situated among the leaves of a tropical milkweed plant (Asclepias curassavica) and have been there for some time. Since it will be dark very quickly, I am uncertain whether they will remain in place overnight or retreat to one of several safe roosting places in our backyard.
