A male monarch butterfly arrived this morning around 8:00 am CT and stayed in the garden nectaring from the tropical milkweed's flowers (Asclepias curassavica) until around 11:30 am CT, when the beginning effects of today's eclipse started evolving.
The butterfly's color is deeply hued; its health and flying ability appear robust; its wings are in perfect condition without any noticeable wear and tear or injury.
