Today at 3:30 PM, I tagged and released a female monarch that I had raised. Tag is XCS 828. I put her on a flowering Butterfly Bush and she stayed there nectaring until 4:45 PM. She then flew high onto a branch of a White Pine tree where she stayed until 5 PM. She then flew westward. Weather sunny, temperature 81F., and the wind SE-9 mph.
