Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/21/2017

Number: 1

The remaining hummers seem to be immature Rufus hummers and possibly Caliope. They are not afraid of me but are afraid of other birds than hummers. They were fairly thin looking for awhile but are looking well fed this past week. I've kept 4 feeders on the go since the numbers increased in June. We at times had so many I couldn't keep track. I'll wager there were in the neighbourhood of 20 at times. Have not seen the adult males since about Aug.1. In the past we've seen hummers here right up until Dec.5 at minus 17 celcius. It left the next morning when the temperature rose to plus 5 Celsius.
