Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/21/2017

Number: 7

I have milkweed over taking my flower garden. I was going to do a clean out, but noticed 7 monarch caterpillars eating on 7 different plants. I Will have to wait until fall. While I was out there, a monarch butterfly was laying eggs on other smaller milkweed plants. I hope the new eggs will get to the adult butterfly stage before cold weather sets in. This is the first year I have ever seen a monarch caterpillar in my yard.
