Since the third week of July 2017, my husband and I have been observing individual hummingbird activity around our yard in Pikesville, Maryland. It's difficult to see if it's the same bird or different birds (they're a blurr). I managed to capture this one hummingbird as he/she was nectaring the salvia, fuchsia, and cardinal vine on our deck. Hummy also nectared with other plants in the yard (Hibiscus syriacus, Abelia, more perennial Salvias, Saponaria officinalis). Also, we have been graced with hummingbirds for many years (10 years minimum) in this location. Thrilling, each one!
