It's become impossible to keep count. I saw four at once in a mini-flock on tithonia, and some came by twos. Many individual sightings. Ten is just a guess, since some of them could have been seen more than once, but there could have been more than ten.

In addition (hard to report because the location stretches over a 1000-mile road trip), we saw a lot of monarchs across Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska on Aug 20/21/22. They were crossing the roads, and my impression is that more were going south than other directions.
