I was crossing the 5 Mile span of the Mackinac Bridge between St. Ignace and Mackinac City. They were flying all around the bridge and bridge railings. It was such a surprising site. This was at 3 p.m. today, August 23, 2017.

I can't give you an exact count since I was driving 45 mph over the Mackinac Bridge at the time. It was over a dozen for sure. They were flying across the bridge and next to it. They were a sight to see - so beautiful. I have never seen Monarchs on the bridge before. Wish I could give you a better count but I would rather not guess.
