I saw at least 12 Monarch Butterflies around being outside in my yard and garden this afternoon. Many of them were pretty big with a 4-5 inch wingspan. It's just a guess but they might be ones from north of here migrating south based on their size. They were mostly concentrating on nectaring from different sources in my yard and garden including Joe Pye Weed, butterfly bushes, clover, and other good plants I have for them. I had as many as 5 on the Joe Pye Weed nectaring at one time but there's 3 in the picture here.
