Sightings report image

Date: 08/24/2017

Number: 1

This is a monarch butterfly which just came out of its chrysalis. Have a safe trip to Mexico little buddy! We recently moved into the country and planted a flower prairie. The previous owners did not have any intentional habitat for pollinators or birds. We planted milkweed amongst the flowers. Our first year we had so many monarch larvae that I have to be sure to put more in next year!
