I decided to go to Harrisville State Park to see if the monarchs were still migrating down the Lake Huron shoreline. What a difference after counting 149 monarchs yesterday and no monarchs today! The wind started out at NW-13 mph turning from the north and then NE at 15 mph under an all day cloudy sky. Temperature was 58 F. at the start of my count at 1 PM and then 60F. at the end of my count at 3 PM. With no monarchs migrating, I walked the beach northward and still saw no monarchs. However, I finally spotted a monarch flying north through the interior of the park campground at 3:10 PM.
