After seeing so many Monarchs on August 23, we decided to go out to Tawas Point State Park on the morning of August 24. By 0915 AM the roosts had disappeared with several small groups sunning themselves and preparing to move on. When we checked back around 6 PM there were no Monarchs to be found. Weather was in the 50-60 degree range with a cold wind coming off of the lake most of the day.
