Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/24/2017

Number: 1

A third instar was spotted this evening approximately 20 minutes before sunset on one of the swamp milkweed plants (Asclepias incarnata). It was very still. I am unsure if it was readying itself to molt or if something else is going on. Whatever the case, it's a sighting. I'll hope to see the caterpillar feeding and moving about tomorrow morning.
