The monarch is in the background being chased by the queen in the foreground. These two and two more males were duking it out in aerial battle pretty much all day today. Yesterday, two peaceful lady monarch egg layers; today, all out epic WAR! One of the monarchs also tried picking on a black swallowtail, and then a tiny brown fritillary I can't identify.
