Hummingbird activity at my feeders on my deck has increased dramatically the past week. I usually change the sugar water every 4-5 days, but lately, the birds have been nearly draining the feeders each day. The six position feeder has had as many as 5 birds on it at one time. Several are juvenile males with the black specks on their throats just starting to turn into ruby feathers.
