Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/28/2017

Number: 3

Many females coming through. They are nectaring on over an acre of jewel weed, cardinal flower, bee balm, scarlet runner beans, etc., as well as feeders.

Not so much breeding here this year, we think. Early male arriver died--from the cold and snow we assume. They had a rough start here and didn't seem to rebound like we hoped they would. Nice to see so many migrants though.
