I have 2 feeders with home made nectar (no red dye) changed every 3 days, and a butterfly garden stocked with Mexican sunflowers, zinnias, lantana, milkweed, and more! The Hummers sit in my Magnolia tree and guard the feeders, and perch in my Mexican sunflowers ALL DAY LONG.
