1 adult male ruby throat and 2 females (or immatures) were simultaneously drinking from nectar feeders or sipping from black and blue salvia blossoms and some Wendy's Wish salvias. One likes to feed on Vermillion firecracker and look in our front window. The hummers have been switching back and forth between preferring feeders and flowers. Last week there was a lot of activity on the nectar feeders and a lot less on flowers. I think this was from local birds tanking up to leave and a couple migrating hummers that stayed a few days and then left. Now it's about 50/50 feeders and flowers. We've had up to 6 hummers in view at same time.
Very happy to see a male ruby throat still around. Thought last male had left yesterday but then saw one late yesterday evening and again this morning.
