Monarch Waystation #271 reports a 3rd instar monarch larva feeding on fresh shoots on one of the Swamp Milkweeds growing near the heat pump in the back yard. The milkweed gets "flagged" each time the heat pump comes on, so it must be a real challenge for this little one to eat! I did not do a complete inventory of monarch larva in the yard, just peeked at a few freshly chewed leaves.
