Three Ruby Throated males contesting my 3 feeders. One has established his dominance over the feeder that has been up the longest. I added 2 more feeders in the last couple of days--each was immediatedly adopted by an adult male. The 3 feeders are within sight of one another--females and juveniles that come in to feed are having to run the gantlet. While I have been watching the females and juveniles have only been able to nectar occasionally at the 2 newer feeders. The dominant male will not allow any bird near "his" feeder.
