I've seen up to 10 monarchs at a time at my butterfly bushes both 8/28 and 8/29. They are nectaring heavily and staying around. it's also interesting that I had a monarch that I raised that ended up with a bent tip to its wing and didn't seem to be able to fly well enough to release. I hand-fed it sugar water for a few days and it seemed so anxious to be released that I tried trimming the other wing tip to match. It flew slightly differently that the others so I could tell it was "the one", but did fine and I have seen it off and on for a month!
