I had four to six Ruby-Throated hummingbirds at my feeders and also nectaring from my Firebush daily through July and August until last week. I now am seeing only one female visiting the Firebush in the morning. The hummingbirds first appeared in late March, peak numbers and activity was in July and August, then a sudden decrease in late August. I observed this same pattern last summer.
