Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/30/2017

Number: 1

I would see four to six Ruby-Throated hummingbirds at my feeders and also nectaring from my Firebush daily through July and August until last week. I now am seeing only one female visiting the Firebush in the morning, about the same time each day. The first hummingbird appeared in late March, the females nested in our backyard oak trees, their numbers peaked in July though mid-August, then began to decrease in late August. I observed this same pattern last summer.
